4.文化因素障碍

M:How do you like Professor Bachman’s course on the History of Philosophy? He’s a distinguished scholar on that subject.
W:He’s a great teacher. But I’m having a hard time with the reading list.I feel I can’t even finish it.

解读本题的关键是要听懂女士所说的“But I’m having a hard time with the reading list.”，这里的“reading list”指的是教师为了让学生对他所讲的这门课有更加全面深入的了解而开出的书单(reading list)，要求学生课下阅读，进行自学。这种方法在我国较多用于研究生的教学，在本科生中尚不常见，学生缺乏这种背景知识，也容易造成理解上的困难。学生应博览群书，不拘泥于教材，多读一些涉及英美文化、地域风情等方面的书籍，增加跨文化交际的能力。当然文化背景知识不能替代语言能力本身，提高听力理解与背景知识有密切关系，但是打好坚实的语言基础仍是解决听力理解困难的先决条件。 上一页 [1] [2]
